Reconstruction of the main stand at the racecourse

As all racecourse visitors and general public know, the main stands for the audience at the Belgrade racecourse was burnt down in 1999, and it could not have been returned it to its purpose properly. Namely, what was left of the stands is still used for watching the races, but it is only the necessary solution in the absence of other possibilities. Current management of PE Belgrade Racecourse has done its best for this derelict building to be more or less enabled. This was done by placing the steps, plastic chairs and umbrellas as the protection from the sun and rain. Of course, this is not even close, neither aesthetically nor functionally, to what the main stand on a modern track should include: apart from the space for comfortable and perceptible observing the competition, with special areas for horse owners and VIP guests, there are facilities for betting, catering facilities, toilets, gift shop, etc..

Finally, after we had made this space refined and beautiful, at the same time we worked to solve this burning and the most important issue of the Belgrade Racecourse. We are now in possession of a conceptual project, which was approved by all relevant instances, and which meets all building, safety and environmental aspects needed for the project. Namely, the racecourse space is an important ambient and the old stand was a protected building structure, and we had to have these aspects in mind when planning.

The new stand will have a very close look to the original, but it will be built of modern materials and modern it will have to meet modern standards in all aspects of security. The stands blueprint can be found here ...

Completion of the system for watering and maintenance of trails and green spaces

During 2012, we plan to finish, by completing the third phase, the project for the system for watering the entire surface of the Hippodrome. The entire project is not just a routine task, but, rather, an innovative business model, in which we were able to bring together natural resources that were lying unused, a good business idea and environmental awareness. With minimal financial resources, we achieved benefits both for ourselves as a company, and the community in which we work. Namely, by completing the system, PE Belgrade Racecourse will save considerable resources and simultaneously obtaining very valuable resource, which will highly improve and facilitate our work. At the same time, by starting using technical rather than drinking water, we provide a valuable contribution to the increasingly indispensable ecological approach to business.

In the third and final phase of the project, the entire area will be equipped with sprinkles which will water the trails and green spaces as needed. This will significantly improve the quality of space, and watering and trail maintenance will be several times improved.

Construction of independent access to horse trails at the Racecourse

For a long time, safe and prompt access to the Racecourse, has been a problem for the horses living in the vicinity of the hippodrome and which use the tracks on daily basis. This issue raised in a serious manner and before the construction of the ‘Racecourse’ loop, which presents the access road to the bridge over Ada, it was again made up-to-date. The urgent need to provide the access of trainers and horses appeared in the form of a necessary task. This could be achieved by constructing the quality track, completely independent of the surrounding traffic. In agreement with the contractors of the ‘Racecourse’ loop, we came up with a solution that can be seen here, which will also be implemented during 2012.
