It was built on the Belgrade hippodrome, and on December 3, 2009. and officially opened, the first purpose-built facility for therapeutic riding in Serbia. After the exceptional therapeutic value of riding for the disabled and for people with special needs, in general, has been established, this type of recreation and therapy has experienced tremendous momentum in the world.
With the opening of the ring, Belgrade becomes a reference place for the whole of Serbia and for the region when it comes to this modern and extremely valuable type of work with people with special needs. So far, there have been valuable efforts in this field, but the facility, whose bearers in the previous phase of works were the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Republic of Serbia and the Public Company Hiodrom Belgrade, brings for the first time the potential of this type of recreation and therapy for the disabled, developed in full and in a professional way. The construction of this maneuver will make a great contribution to the inclusion of these people in normal life flows, will help many of them in accelerated rehabilitation and socialization, and represents a valuable contribution to Serbia in its inclusion in modern European trends.
